OUR RECOMMENDED SERVICE DOG VESTS

Updated: Aug 18, 2023

These Amazon recommendations are for fully trained service dogs or dogs currently going through our service dog program. This is NOT for Emotional Support Dogs or for pets trying to "pass" as a fake service dog. All our recommendations are simply our opinion, based off of our own experience using them and trusting their product quality.

ActiveDogs No Pull Adjustable Harness

This vest has come in clutch for the hot Florida heat. It is super lightweight and allows the dog to breathe if they have a long fur coat or are just prone to overheating quickly. With velcro sides it is easily adjustable to your dog's girth and doesn't slide around much while they move and walk. These are great patch real estate on both sides and on the nice panel on the back which allows plenty of room for whatever verbiage you want to use to keep people away from you and your dog in order for your dog to have ample space to work for you. Another awesome aspect of this vest is the sturdy handle on the back that can be used for very light mobility lead or pull work. We 10 out of 10 recommend this vest.

Julius K9 IDC Stealth Harness

One of our OG personal favorites. This Julius K9 Vest is stealthy (like its name), sturdy and very professional looking. Its quality makes it look like a non-Amazon cheap service dog vest. It is heavy duty without weighing much but keeping its durability for dogs that may be a little more active than others. The handle blends in nicely to the vest making sure it doesn't pop out or get in the way and is still easily usable for handlers that need light pulling or leading tasks. The D rind on the back makes a great back tie for dogs that are in dog sport or for extra training purposes. Great patch real estate on the sides and on the front by the shoulders. Very comfy for dogs that may be wearing a vest for longer periods of time.

Excellent Elite Spanker Harness

Another phenomenal vest great for the hot Florida heat. It is even lighter weight than the ActiveDogs Vest but with less patch real estate. This is an awesome vest for smaller service dogs in comparison to other vests because it won't take up much of their body and allows for full mobility. Be aware that due to the patch real estate, not much can be put on your dog's vest but at least it'll do the trick for the smaller doggos that are doing their service jobs for their handlers.

OneTigris Tactical Vest

A tacticool version of an awesome heavy duty service dog vest. What we like about this vest is that the fabric on the inside has great ventilation for dogs to be able to breathe and sweat. With a molle patch panel system, this vest allows for a lot of attachments such as hooks, bags and more. The elastic on the top allows for you to store objects underneath and stay in place. There is a large patch real estate on both sides of the vest, allowing plenty of room for multiple patches.
